Rockets

Fledgling

Fledgling was the first rocket produced by Nebula Aerospace. This rocket used fins for passive control and was used to test Eagle, the first flight computer produced by Nebula Aerospace. This rocket has so far only flown once, and that could likely be its only flight ever. The rocket is 120cm tall, with a 74mm diameter airframe. The vehicles first flight was conducted on an Estes F-15 motor and reached and apogee of ~38.5m. Eagle successfully deployed Fledglings chutes when it was supposed to, giving the rocket a safe ride back to the ground. This mission was a partial success, do to the fact that the high shock from pyro firing caused Eagle to reboot mid flight. This will be covered in more depth in an upcoming video on the Nebula Aerospace YouTube channel.

Hawk

Hawk will be the first TVC capable vehicle produced by Nebula Aerospace. This vehicle will be very advanced, and in conjunction with its equally complex launch pad will be able to do some very cool launches. Not only will Hawk be able to launch, but also land propulsively. This means it will be able to complete one of those crazy landings like SpaceX, but at a smaller scale. This has previously been done by only 3 organizations, those being BPS.Space, TTB Aerospace, and Project Horizon. Nebula Aerospace hopes to be #4.

Starship

Starship will be a roughly 1:25 scale model of SpaceX’s Starship rocket. This will include both the Starship upper stage, as well as the Superheavy booster. This model will fly just like the real thing, with both stages being caught by a scale model of the Mechazilla tower. This project will take quite a while with crazy accuracy and precision, and a lot of testing.
